DONATE TO TIBET ORAL HISTORY PROJECT

Time is literally running out! We must act now to record the eyewitness accounts of these elderly Tibetans while they are still with us. China's repressive hard-line policies in Tibet continue to threaten the survival of Tibet's unique language, culture and religion. With your help, we can document these priceless oral histories and preserve the history and spirit of Tibet for generations to come.

YOUR HELP IS ESSENTIAL

With your support we can meet our next goals:
  1. Conduct more interviews of 80 to 90-year-old Tibetan elders in Tibetan refugee settlements around the world.

  2. Transcribe the interviews and prepare them for distribution to research libraries and archives and for the Internet.

  3. Translate the oral histories into Chinese dialects so current and future generations of Chinese can obtain a better understanding of what really happened in Tibet.
